What the patents actually cover
Read them and a single idea runs through all six: deriving situational context from many separate data sources at once, and then driving automated work off that context rather than off any one stream.
They describe an architecture that autonomously transforms multiple data sources into context-aware products, using complex event processing to decide what matters and when, and extend the same idea to situational context across large-scale data.
Why that matters here
This is the layer Blackspire builds. The patented work is not a description of a finished commercial platform, and we do not present it as one. It is the examined, granted origin of the cross-system context problem Blackspire exists to solve.
It was filed and granted well before the current wave of work on the same problem, and every claim in it is open for anyone to read.
553+ forward citations.
A forward citation is a later patent application that cites this work as prior art. It is not a customer relationship, a partnership, or an endorsement, and we are careful not to present it as any of those. It is a measure of whether other people building in this space had to work around what was already filed.
Filings by Google, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle and many more appear in that record. Those companies are named here as examples of who has cited the work, and for no other reason. There is no commercial relationship implied.
The figure is the combined count of forward citations across the six patents listed above, as recorded on Google Patents. Open any patent and read its "Cited By" section.
